Biblical Burdens Comments

This page is for conversations and comments based upon the article Biblical Burdens. Jesus said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. However, pastors and church leaders are burning out and leaving the ministry in record numbers. They didn't find the yoke to be easy nor the burden light. Unbiblical burdens and unrealistic expectations of churches and people weighed them down and eventually broke them. Let's talk together in the space below about which burdens are from Jesus, which are from people or ourselves, and what we can do about them.

I think we take on burdens that were never ours. Other people's happiness is not something that I can be responsible for. It really is important for us to sort through the often unreasonable expectations that others place upon us.

When you are in the ministry, people will put crazy expectations on you and you really have to know the difference between what God wants you to do, and what people think you should be doing.

I think it is important for us all to examine our own lives.
