The main point of the article is that in the American church we often persuade people to become Christians by offering them the hope of heaven without calling them to offer their lives to the Lord as living sacrifices. By our silence we are saying that we accept that it is okay for Christians to be conformed to the world around them and that we don't expect Christians to be transformed into the image of Jesus.
